Is there anyway to create a custom button to call an update query?
We are going to run a promotion to allow a certain percentage discount if an
event occurs in the arena (we're a hockey arena and this is for our pro
shop). I already have the discount and query built and it works fine if I run
it from administrator, but would like to have a way to click a custom button

Hello - I have over 300 items that I would like moved from their current
Department, "English Radio", to a new department called "Music Audio". I'm
aware that I can do these changes manually, by selecting the item in HQ and
changing them one by one..But I'm hoping that perhaps there's an SQL query

Please help me,
We have a retail grocery store & so far POS has been working great. Lately we decided to run couple of promotions in our store. So we decided to have certain categories & items on sale. The discount feature works good the only problem I have is that on the receipt it does not print the discount given it only says "discount" but not the percentage. For example we have spices for 5% off & frozen food 10%...but on the receipt it just says Discount & no way to tell the difference. Please help me is there an option to turn the option on? or edit it in receipt format options?

Can anyone tell me how I should set Windows 7 Firewall for HQ Server
PC?
When firewall is off, it connects to stores (over VPN).
I did click on for HQ Server and Manager in the firewall settings.
I read on a newsgroup that

Any one come across this situation
You go to manager -database-item-properties
Change the tax id = none
Select ok
Re-open and the tax is still assigned
rms ver 2.0.0105
Administrator account
With all access ?

Is there any way within RMS or via an addon that the approval code box could
be grayed out to prevent cashier's entering an approval code?
We do not do any phone authorizations, so we'd only need it to be able to
get an approval code when RMS contacts the processor and retries its own
approval code.

Does anybody know how to stop Credit/Debit card receipts being produced, in RMS?
We only want to produce the customer receipt.

Hi there. My client has over 40 stores and counting due to expansion.
RMS is running pretty well. Issue i have is that its a fashion house
and has over 120 000 line items and counting. After 6 months, some
items are not on the market and become redundant. Now after a year,
the DB is now over 11GB and growing. What is the best way to handle

Hi,
We are trying to link the EFTPOS Machines at our stores to the POS, so as
staff do not have to enter the sale amount manually in the EFTPOS machine,
but is done automatically through the POS sale amount. Does anyone know a
way in which this can be done? Any help would be appreciated

Is there a way to generate a report that shows detailed sales with multiple
tender types?
For example if a customer pays half with visa and half with a gift
certificate.

We are no longer able to store customer credit card numbers because our third
party Credit Card Containment Company is not PCI compliant.
Does anyone know of any companies that are PCI compliant. Also, is there any
other way of storing customers information without involving a third party?

Does the system take into account sales that occur between the "count date" on the Physical Inventory sheet and the date the inventory is applied to the database?

Hi all,
Is there a way to mass change the supplier for multiple items at once. When
we have a change in who we order a product line from we have to go into each
item individually to update the supplier info. Is there a easier way to
update multiple items?

1. Decimal places. How many decimal places are you allowed in the price
field on the item card ? In RMS 2.0 you are allowed 2, 3 if you change the
type to 'gasoline'. I am looking for 5 decimal places
